The smallest of all the gazelle species is the Spekes Gazelle.

They are light brown colored upper coat from the white belly by a black stripe, which has a lighter band above it.

RANGE: Ethiopia and Somalia
HABITAT: Stony brush, grass steppes, and Semi desert
FOOD: Grasses, leaves
STATUS: The population is decreasing
REASON FOR STATUS: Loss of Habitat, domestic livestock.
GESTATION PERIOD: 6 7 months
LIFESPAN: YRS IN WILD live up to 12 years / they live 12 years also in captivity.
