General Characteristics

They are sexual dimorphic.

 Males and females can easily be distinguished from one another based on color and size.

However, both males and females have longer narrow legs.

 They have a short nose, and a long tail. Females are pale yellow, do not have horns

Range – Southern Sudan , and Ethiopia in Africa
Habitat – Swamps , dry and flooded grasses marshes and steppes Â
Food – grasses , herbs, and water plants
Status – The population is decreasing
Reason For Status :Â Habitat loss and hunting

Lifespan :Â Â 10.75 captivity / 19 years in captivity
