  • Bears are very strong with a thick muscular body, thick legs and a massive skull.

  • Their eyes and ears are small.

  • They use their snout for smelling

  • They are found in tropics, but more numerous in cold northern lands

  • Bears prefer to hibernate during winter.

  • Asiatic Black Bear, Polar bear, Himalayan Brown Bear, European brown Bear, spectacled, sloth, Kodiak bears and sun bear, Grizzly, and are carnivores.

  • The American black bears are herbivores.

There are 7 species of bears:  Grizzly or  brown bear, Polar bear, American black bear , Asian black bear, Sloth bear, Sun bear, Spectacled bear.
