Length : 120 – 200 cm ( 4.6 – 6.0 feet )
Shoulder Height : 90 – 120 cm ( 3 – 4 feet )
Horn length: 30 cm ( 1 foot)
Tail length:Â 14 cm ( 5.6 in)
Weight: 65- 180kg ( 143 – 396 lbs )
Range: Mountain areas of Central Asia ( Siberia, south to Himalayas to Tibet, near Afganistan ,and eastward toward the Mongolian Plateau )
Habitat: Mountain areas
Diet: Grasses herbs and Sedges
Status They are declining in numbers in the wild over past 200 years and even now.
Reason for the status: Overhunting, Poaching, dieases transmisson from other domestic sheep and habitat destruction
Gestation period : 150 -160 days
Longevity :     10 – 13 years in the wild /  16.8 Years in captivity            Â
