Description (also known as southern two-toed sloth) :

 Greyish brown with a pale face
Length :Â Â 21.0 – 29.0 inches (3.25 – 4.3 feet)
Weight : 4 – 8 Kgs (9 – 18 lbs)
Range – Venezula, Brazil, Equador and Peru
Habitat – Equatorial rain forest
Diet – Leaves, bugs, tender plants
Status – Least concern but population is slowly decreasing
Reason for the status – deforestation
Lifespan – 12 years in the wild, 31 years in captivity
Gestation period – 5 months
