Physical Description:
· Nubian ibex are one of the smallest ibex species and are sexually dimorphic.
· The overall color of individuals is a uniform tan with marks of black and white on the legs and a white underneath
· There is a color change that begins in August, where males become dark brown to black on their necks, chests, shoulders, sides of the belly.
· Front side of the thighs, and upper forelegs.
· Males have long dark beards, and older females also grow beards.
· Both males and females have horns, which A males horns are large, dark, and semi-circular, with rings on the back

RANGE : Northeastern Africa, Arabian Peninsula and Middle East
HABITAT : Mountainous region which is the highest and steepest cliffs
DIET : Herbs, shrubs, tree foilage, buds, fruits and occasionally grasses
Status : Endangered. Less than 2500 remaining in the wild only today.
Reason for status : Habitat loss, hunting, pollution, and competition for humans.
Gestation : 5 – 5.5 months.
Lifespan : 10 – 16 years in wild / 17 years in captivity
