Mustelids

 

  • Weasels, Wolverine, Martens otters, skunk, and badgers, are in the family Mustelids. 

  •  They are the most successful and diverse carnivores.

  •  Mustelids are found almost in every type of habitat including forest, deserts, tundra, fresh and saltwater.

  •  Mustelids are very aggressive hunters and will often tackle prey much bigger than themselves.

  • There are six species of otters.

  • Seven species of skunk.

  • Seven species of badger

  • Five species of Martens

  • Four species of weasel

  • One species of Wolverine.
