Blue Whale is grayish blue to lighter spots particularly back and shoulders.

Status : Endangered. They have been nearly pushed to extinction. There are only 2000 – 6000 whales remaining in 20th century.
Reason for status : Habitat destruction, hunting, and whaling
Gestation : 11- 12 months
Longevity : 80 – 90 years in the wild
