Physical description

Wapiti is also known as Elk.

It is one of the largest species of land mammals in the deer family  in North America  and East Asia.

They shed the fur each year.

They have even number of toes on each foot like the camels, goat and cattle.

They have four chambered stomach.

Elk is twice as heavy as mule deer.

 They have reddish color hair to their body and smaller tails.

Moose are larger and darker than elk.

Males have different antlers.

During the full fall elk grow thicker amount of fur
