Status – There is only as few as 2,500 remaining in the wild. They are continually declining.
Reason for the status – Deforestation due to urbanization , local, domestic and commercial trade
Gestation Period – 166 to 169 days
Lifespan – 15 to 18 years / 15 to 16 years in captivity
